11/8/23: YOU DID IT!
Around 12am Wednesday morning I got a text from the City Manager congratulating the Commissioner Elect, signifying I am now the City of Muskegon Ward 4 Commissioner Elect!!!! (insert biodegradable confetti here)
I am still in disbelief that on my first run in the political arena I was able to run the grass roots campaign and win. Apparently it is a BIG deal for a new comer to be able to do this and I couldn't have done it without my neighbors, volunteers, friends, and family and of course YOU! You voted for me because you believe in me and I am so humbled to have gotten 845 votes from the residents of Ward 4. THANK YOU for all of your support!
I will come around w my neighbor Evan and collect yard signs soon.
Cannot wait to get to work for you all soon!

11/6/23: Canvassing Pays Off!
My team has collectively knocked on almost 5,000 doors since April and we have gotten a ton of great feedback! Thank you to Margie, Evan, Debbie, Gary, Mary, Nancy, Donna, Kahlan, Ashley, Josh, John, and a few adorable kiddos helping their parents. A guy rode by on his bike and yelled "Go Katrina!" One of the volunteers said that a supporter they called said they voted for me and their 5 family members did too! I am just floored.
Tomorrow is the BIG DAY and I know that no matter what the turn-out is, everyone who helped, cheered, donated, or shared information, is IMMENSELY appreciated!

8/7/23: We have been at all kinds of events and canvassing hard to try to get to all 3,500 doors in the Ward. It has been a long month and a half but we are here at election day eve. I will be heading out again today and working on more ways to contact folks. 6/15/23: An exciting Thursday here at campaign headquarters that led to a sweet lil kitten being swept into a storm drain and being rescued by myself, our courageous mailwoman, and our amazing neighbors. The kitten is healthy and has a home w our mailwoman Sofea now. We love a happy ending for our animal friends.
6/7/23:We will be hosting a fundraiser June 18th at the corner of Thompson and Edgewater Dr. (3244 Thompson, Muskegon, MI 49441) from 9am-11am. We will be doing a pancake breakfast to celebrate all the wonderful dad's out there and a percentage of the proceeds will go to help the homeless. Please tell your friends!
6/4/23: Pride Parade was a huge hit! We passed out our stickers and business cards and got almost 50% hit rate on the website that night!
